Hey lovelies! I hope your weekend was a great one. I went to see the Panthers play today and boy–that wasn’t so pretty! Still it was a lot of fun to see the game live and Bank of America is a beautiful stadium. Hopefully our defense against the Falcons next week will be a little less disappointing :).
Football is a big reason I love this season, but Fall fashion is right up there with it. One of my favorite parts of Fall fashion is….scarves! They’re such a quick and easy way to dress up an outfit for an instant put-together look that’s cozy to boot. Blanket scarves are a hot trend this Fall and after getting a few myself I can see why. Wearing them is like wearing a big, soft, cozy blanket wherever you go.
The one thing about blanket scarves however is they need to be tied differently to look right. Instead of being rectangular like other scarves, they’re shaped like a square and are also typically a lot thicker.
To tie a blanket scarf, unfold it completely on the floor, then fold it in half so that it forms a triangle. Keeping the point of the triangle facing down, grab the other two sides and wrap them around your neck like you would a bandana. But instead of tying it in the back like you would a bandana, bring the ends to the front then tuck them underneath. Sometimes I tie the ends in a single knot, just to get them to stay better. It really does remind me of tying a very large bandana ;).
This scarf made the look so I could keep everything else simple-top, jeans, shoes, bag. I opted for burgundy jeans but it would also be great with distressed jeans and boots for a more casual look.
